Herpes cure tips

Herpes is disease caused by a virus. There are two types of herpes cure. Herpes type 1, also called oral herpes and is the most common one. It causes blisters and sores on the lips and round the mouth. The other type, herpes type 2, usually causes genital sores.

Herpes type 1 is usually transmitted via oral fluids. Kissing and sharing of items such as eating utensils and toothbrush are some of the ways in which herpes type 1 can be transmitted. Herpes type 2 is only transmitted via sexual contact, whereby one person is infected.

monsterOne can only realize that they have been infected by this virus if they have sores or blisters in the mouth or on their lips, or around the genitals. Herpes is usually triggered by viral infections, exposure to sun, stress and physical irritation of the skin.

Doctors say that an estimated 80% of the people in the universe are infected by the herpes virus. Herpes outbreak can happen often or less often to an individual depending on some underlying factors such as their immunity and the stress levels of an individual. Though there is no cure for the herpes disease, there is available medication that can be used to suppress the virus reducing its recurrence and treating the infections.

Once a person is infected with the herpes virus they become carriers of the virus henceforth. The virus undergoes several stages. The first stage which is called the primary stage starts soon after the infection. It is marked by the occurrence of sores that are usually painful. They are filled with a fluid and are usually red in color. The next stage, the latent stage, the herpes virus becomes embedded in the nerve cells and becomes dormant. This virus stays in that state until it is awakened.  While in the nerves, the virus multiplies and appears in fluids like the semen, the vaginal fluids and the saliva. While in these fluids, the virus then can easily be transmitted to other persons.

The doctor’s advice is that care must be taken to the affected area. The area should remain clean and dry as this facilitates in quick healing. Though the sores are itchy and very irritating, one should try to avoid touching the area as this can lead to further transmissions to other areas. Just in case one comes into contact with the area, then they should ensure that they have cleaned their hands with soap and water. This will kill the virus preventing transmissions to other areas.

As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure, the best way to control herpes is to control outbreaks. Watch out for all the triggers of the herpes virus and avoid them. In case herpes outbreak has already happened, then the best thing is to treat the infections as soon as possible and also avoid further spreading of the same.
