Xeriscape (pronounced zeer-i-skey-p) refers to a landscape or part of a landscape which does not rely on supplemental water. A Xeriscape will require watering until established. Although sometimes thought of as a garden with just cacti and rocks there are many types of plants which are drought tolerant and can be used in a Xeriscape. Xeriscapes are useful for conserving water and where watering is difficult due to a lack of sprinkler systems and nearby water spigots.
